Nature of the content

LocalNodeOps publishes hardware benchmarks, guides, and interactive calculators (such as the VRAM estimator) for informational purposes. Benchmark figures and calculator outputs are estimates based on published specifications and reference architectures — not guarantees of real-world performance for your specific hardware, model, or configuration. Verify critical decisions against your own testing before making a purchase.

Open-source content

Where a repository or code sample is marked open-source, it is provided under the license stated in that repository. Absent an explicit license, no permission is granted to redistribute site content commercially.

Affiliate and sponsored links

This site participates in affiliate/referral programs with select cloud GPU providers (currently RunPod and Lambda Labs). If you click one of these links and rent an instance, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are only shown as a clearly labeled, separate suggestion when a calculated configuration exceeds the VRAM of the local hardware profiles listed on this site — never blended into the benchmark data or the VRAM calculator's output itself.

The calculator's math (model weight size, KV cache estimate, runtime overhead, and which local GPU profiles a configuration fits) is computed identically regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists with any provider, and is never adjusted based on affiliate revenue.
